The Day of Your Exam

What To Bring:

You need to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled test session with an unexpired government issued ID containing a photo and signature:
  • Driver's License
  • Passport
  • Texas Department of Public Safety Identification Card
  • Current Permanent Residence Card
If a minor is testing, a Parental Release Form will need to be signed and a parent or legal guardian is required to accompany the student.
Whoever accompanies the student will also have to present a valid ID from the list above.

All other materials will be provided for the exam

Without an acceptable ID you will not be permitted to test. A student/school ID is not considered an acceptable ID.

What To Expect:

Upon arrival, you will present your ID to the proctor. They will confirm the section(s) that you are taking and will assign you a locker with a lock and key where you will store all your belongings.
You will be asked to empty your pockets and take off all jewelry.
What jewelry will be asked to be removed?

No outside jackets are allowed but you can take a thin or light jacket into the testing room. No hats or scarves allowed.

You will go through a security check and will be asked to show your arms and legs. You will be asked to turn pockets inside out so be aware that clothing with numerous pockets will cause a longer check-in process.

You will be informed of the rules of your exam and given scratch paper and pencils if needed. Once seated, a proctor monitors the testing room at all times.

After Your Exam:

You will receive a score report immediately after the exam. Scores will also be provided to the Academic Success Center if you are enrolling at Texas A&M.

If you are taking an exam via ProctorU:
ProctorU will review your session, then be sent to our office. Once we receive your session, we will review it and if it is within regulations, will send your scores to the Academic Success Center. This process can take 3-5 business days.
